National Association of Catholic Nurses – Baltimore Council

We are at the final stretch in becoming an Archdiocesan approved committee. There are rules and regulations issued by the National Association of Catholic Nurses that must be met in order to become a local chapter. Judie has contracted the skills of a lawyer to get this completed!

We would like to begin meeting on the 2nd Monday of every month at Immaculate Conception Church in Towson. The meeting agenda is as follows:

*6:30 – 7 PM : Adoration in the St. Francis Chapel which is located on the 2nd floor of the parish office building (the old convent). The entrance is on the side of the parish office building directly across from the elementary school. There is a parking lot in front of the parish office building. There is a drive separating the elementary school and the entrance. You walk up a set of steps to enter the building. When you enter make a left down the first hall. Adoration is in the chapel on the left. Please join us anytime during that Adoration.

*7 PM – 7:15: light snacks

*7:15 – 8 PM: we will be discussing the Charter for Health Care Workers which was issued by the Vatican in 1995. Below are 2 links to the document:  First    Second
For our meeting on April 11th, we will be discussing the Preface through paragraph 11 (not too much reading!)

I have also outlined the readings for the document through November. It is our goal to help all Catholic nurses to be educated in Church teaching regarding health care. This document is the beginning of that education.

*8 PM – 8:30 PM: Business meeting. All are welcome to stay.
